It is a must that I have a competent in English for Mathematics Education.

Mathematics is a discipline which is the parent of the other disciplines. Mathematics has become a discipline that must be learned by some of the other disciplines. Learning mathematics should begin with a deep heart of mathematics education , mathematics learning is continuous because the basic concept will underlie the new concepts of other. Mathematics education must an important position and that special attention because it becomes one of the subjects tested in the national final examination. Mathematics can be taught in different ways, basically because the mathematics is not only valuable the abstract value but also realistic value, realistic learning have been developed at this time because the back has great potential for the development of mathematics education in Indonesia. Learning mathematics has experienced a significant growth from year to year. New innovations have been developed in line with the development of technology, the media, such as OHP, LCD, and the Internet as part of the development of education in the world.

Role of language is also very significant as a medium of communication-intensive and conducive to convey the message of the materials to educators of students. In this era of globalization, the language has a very important role in communication between individuals, between tribes, and between nations. Language that is developed as the international language is English. The English language used in the various countries of the world and received international. Learning the English language in education in Indonesia has started from the primary school level. English subjects to be tested in the National Testing End and has a special level of attention comparable to the subjects of mathematics.

In education, particularly in mathematics education UNY has experienced a good increase in line with international will opened class education in mathematics teaching in the year 2009/2010. On the force in 2007 and 2008 there are 2 international class stub class called bilingual classes. Bilingual class at given material only 3 subjects, but in learning activities use 2 languages, namely Indonesian and English. I get the opportunity to become students in bilingual classes, to the need to have control of the English language I learn in the subjects in the lectures.

In my opinion, we must master the English language in learning mathematics to support the absorption of the material in the course Education Mathematics. Learning English is important in line with the learning of mathematics. Therefore, it is more necessary at this time because the SKS only allocated 4 SKS to learn English through a program in the Bachelor. To further deepen in the development of every student of English, need to be training outside the lecture hours and TOEFL testing every 3 months.

With the programs that are up-to-date innovations to improve English language skills of each student. Progress in learning mathematics are expected to be early to make capital improvements in the system of teaching in the classroom with the new method, a more various media, education system and the new as well. In addition to skills in speaking English improved, it should also be increased curiosity of each candidate so that educators have a broad knowledge, as in the learning process in the International School not only to the English language and content alone, but more on the development of materials that deepen and expand.

Conclusions from the shelf above is a matter that we must master English language which is universal in relation to mathematics education because of the influence that globalization has entered Indonesia and to a request from the International School at this time the existence of these schools are growing.

What I Have Done and What Will I Do About English for Mathematics

Nowadays English is the universal language in the various countries to learn English. Almost can be said that English is the international language. Therefore the need of learning the English intensive in the lecture so that graduates from universities are ready to compete in the international world.
In semester 2, I get the English course that teaches how to use the English in the world of work. Things that I do have to learn this subject, among others:

1. Following the lecture Dr.Marsigit.

2. The task of the English very good

3. Learning English vocabulary is still foreign.

4. Read English blog or book.

5. Listen to English music.

6. Watch English movies.

However, I think things are just now I do need to be improved because of the intensity at this time there are still rarely performed, such as learning English vocabulary.

To anticipate the things that is rarely done and the ability to add in the English language, then I have any intention for the English language courses in the semester off between semester 2 to semester 3.Alhamdulillah because I was given the opportunity to become citizens bilingiual class, but I am still having difficulties in using the English language. Time I choose to leave the course because it will be more intensive if bahsa learn English with a lot of spare time and I registered as accidental ospek 2009 so that the committee at the time of the holiday I can not go home. In addition to English courses, I will also have to use English in day-to-day because I now speak with a curt, if the English language.
